PillsBuddy is built with your privacy as its core foundation. This policy explains exactly what happens with your information — and the short version is: nothing leaves your device.

        🔒 PillsBuddy does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data — ever.
      

📋 1. Information We Collect

PillsBuddy stores the following data locally on your device only:

Medication names, dosages, and schedules you enter
Medication intake history (taken / skipped logs)
Reminder times and notification preferences
Optional profile information (name, age, gender) you choose to enter
Optional photos of medications taken from your camera or library

None of this data is ever transmitted to external servers, shared with third parties, or accessible by the developer. All data exists solely on your personal device.

🔑 2. Permissions We Request

Microphone Used only for the optional voice assistant so you can log medications hands-free. Audio is processed entirely on-device and is never recorded, stored, or transmitted.

Camera Used only if you explicitly choose to photograph a medication for identification. Photos are stored locally on your device and never uploaded anywhere.

Photo Library Accessed only when you explicitly select an existing photo for a medication. No library scanning occurs. Only photos you directly select are used.

Notifications Used to deliver medication reminders at times you configure. All notifications are generated locally on-device — no remote push servers are involved. You can disable them anytime in iOS Settings.

🗄️ 3. Data Storage & Security

All medication data is stored exclusively in your device's local storage using standard iOS secure storage mechanisms. No account creation is required to use any feature of the app.

You can export a local backup at any time via Settings → Backup & Restore. This backup file stays on your device unless you explicitly choose to share it.

🔗 4. Third-Party Services

PillsBuddy does not use any third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, crash reporting tools, or tracking services.

The optional voice assistant uses Apple's on-device Speech Recognition framework, governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. No audio data ever leaves your device.

No data is sold to or shared with any third party, ever.

👶 5. Children's Privacy

PillsBuddy is not directed at children under 13. Since all data is stored locally and no accounts are created, no personal information is transmitted regardless of user age.

🗑️ 6. Your Rights & Data Deletion

Since all data lives exclusively on your device, you have full control at all times. To delete all app data, simply delete PillsBuddy from your device. No deletion request to the developer is needed — we never hold your data.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
